Here is what I know.
At approximately 1:30pm this afternoon, I had a major stroke on the right side of my brain. I am presently in OR and my mom is informing everyone of what is going on.
At 3:30pm Christopher "Charlie" was taken back to OR to have the right side of his skull removed and to try and release the swelling and bleeding in his brain. This procedure will be a few hours long, and I will update as I know something.
Prayer is all I ask for at this moment!

ReplyDeleteI am a friend of the Shockleys. We are all praying for you. We hope Charlie will come through this struggle. He seems to have such contagious smile and I am sure his spirit matches it. We will continue to look for updates. We know that if Johnny's love and spirit can help, he will pull through this struggle.

Just by reading your blog I can tell that you are a precious young man and have so many great qualities, many that are alot like Johnny. Your love of movies , Star Wars, and Twilight are just a few things that you have in common. I will continue to check on you and I am adding you to our prayer list here in Virginia and Florida too. You keep fighting and remember that we are all sending you our love and prayers.

Charlie, keep battling I know you have it in you to beat all these obstacles. You are very strong, and when you feel weak draw strength from those of us who love you. Your mother is one of the strongest women I know and she would give you the last ounce she had, as would I. Everyone here continues to pray for you, for Gods hands to touch and heal you...for his strength to support you and your family. We love you all.

Charlie is now running and playing in Heaven with the Lord. We wanted him to be able to do that here, but for what ever reason God wanted to take Charlie home to be with Him. Please pray for Shay, Chuck, and Eric; none of us can possibly know what they are going through if we have not been through the same thing our self. However, we can pray for them, and let them know we are here for them. God Bless You all is my prayer! I don't know what the words are to say other than we love you guys and want to be here for you and help you in any way that we can!
